Brandon J. Hamilton, 32, of Iowa City, died peacefully Monday, March 30, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a courageous battle with his illness.

A time to celebrate and reflect on Brandon's life will be held from 5 to 8 pm Thursday, April 2, 2015, at the Moose Lodge #1096 on Highway 6 East, Iowa City. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory.

Brandon James Hamilton was born December 14, 1982, here in Iowa City. Growing up here he enjoyed so many things along the way. He like the outdoors, going fishing, cheering on the Minnesota Vikings, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Being with his family and friends, and if you knew Brandon at all you knew his passion for music. He was gifted with the talent of singing and playing music, and he developed this into a career with his business, Infinity DJ services. As a man who always thought to help others, he has been an active member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge @1096, serving as Governor at the time of his death. He loved life, his sense of humor, big heart, and generosity will be missed by many but will continue to be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

His family includes his mother, Deb Hamilton; brother, Byran Hamilton; grandmother, Carol Vance; niece and nephew, Krislin and Kaiden; Aunt, Cathie Friese, Uncle Chuck Friese; uncles, Joseph Hamilton, Bradley Hamilton, and Gary Vance; and special cousin, Dylan Friese.

Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Brandon's family and his services.
