Condolence & Memory Journal

You are missed dearly

I always enjoyed Alda and Clarences' visits at the folks at the lake and in Kansas City. I used to take my kids up to their house when I would go on vacation. We always enjoyed Clarence's stories. What I looked forward to is his wonderful Christmas letters. They were always so interesting. He was a fantastic writer. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him, especially his family.

Wow your dad lived an amazing life! Susie and Gary are blessed with amazing parents, with a lifetime of memories and moments. I will never forget meeting your dad at Austin's graduation party and enjoyed a conversation with him. I hope you are celebrating his remarkable life and finding peace and comfort in those memories. Love, Jessie

I will always remember your dad busily working around your house, making sure things were done right. He was so happy having things to do. I am so sorry for your loss nothing ever replaces a "dad". Hugs.

I met Clarence when I hired him for a minor home repair in 1986. One thing led to another and over the years he came to be one of my very dearest friends. We shared hours in the garden and over coffee and he practically re-built my old house over 25 years. He was a pretty hard worker for someone who described himself as "retired". I will miss him but am glad to have wonderful memories of great stories and nice times with he and Alda. Cathy Willoughby

I had the pleasure of helping Clarence with his Auto Insurance since 2007. I always enjoyed the conversations that we had when he'd come into the office. Rest In Peace Clarence.

Gary & Sue, My thoughts and Prayers are with you and your families. I loved sitting and talking to your dad and mom. He had such stories to tell and time passed very quickly when ever I came over to his house to sit and visit with both of your parents. I will miss his Christmas Letters and the next book he had planned on writing. Gary and Sue you have grown up in the most wonderful family; one I had always wished I had grown up in. You have such great memories of all the things not only you and your parents had but your aunts and uncles as well. Not many families have the relationship and memories that the Hightshoe family has. You and your families have truly been blessed
