Condolence & Memory Journal

In 1980 I moved from Arizona to Coralville, Iowa with my husband and baby. Margaret was my next door neighbor when I lived across from West Music in the Carol Ann Apts (now the location of the Coralville Center for the Performing Arts). She welcomed me to this area, offering her friendship and conversation. I would drop over to her apartment many times to just talk. When Margaret moved to Florida we did not correspond. I wish I had known that she had moved back. I would have enjoyed "catching up" on the 29 years she had been gone. While we were still neighbors, maybe when my son turned 1 or 2, Margaret gave Joel a hand made wooden toy, a bus he could push around on the floor, with storage compartment flaps he could flip up and down. I still have that bus, a reminder of my son's childhood and the kind neighbor who made us feel welcome.

Bob and Mary- Margaret will always hold special memories for me. She always had a hug and a smile everytime I saw her. Her smile and little laugh could make anyones day better! I am so blessed to have gotten to take care of her. You two were so good to her.
