Dirk C. Weerman Obituary

Dirk C. Weerman, 78, of rural Washington, died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

A celebration of Dirk's life will be held beginning at 2pm Saturday, March 12, 2016, in the Dallmeyer Building at the Washington Fairgrounds. Dirk Charles Weerman was born May 29, 1937, in Washington, Iowa, the son of John and Elizabeth (Koehler) Weerman. He was united in marriage to Karen E. Gibson on July 21, 1979. For most of his life he has been in the construction business in the area.

His family includes his wife, Karen; children, Kathy Fewins, Ammon Weerman, and Misty Weerman; step-son Donald Cibert and sisters, Betty Dill and Frieda Dill. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Sue Burke.
