I knew Mary professionally..She was honored at the IAHCSMM Conference in San Antonio this week. Over 1000 of us had a moment of silence. She will be missed. Blessings and prayers for your family.

Perry, Mandy, Sarah and Family,

We were stunned and saddened to hear of Mary's death. I ran into her every once in a while while walking my dog and she would be sitting on her porch. She began and ended every conversation with stories of her family and especially her grandchildren. She just glowed with pride and love for all of you. I always left smiling. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

I worked with Mary for years at UIHC. She was such an advocate for patient safety. She was known as an expert in the field and such a dear person. It was always great to reconnect with Mary after she went to the College of Dentistry-her face lit up when she spoke of her family. She will be missed!

As a Nurse Manager of a clinic at UIHC, I interacted often with Mary when she worked in CSS. She was so knowledgeable and always so helpful. She was such a pleasant person and I enjoyed our visits when we met in the hallway. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Great friends since high school. Met at our first job at Mercy Hospital. Whenever we saw each other we picked up right where we left off. Once a friend always a friend. My heart goes out to Perry, Mandy, Sarah and Mary's grandchildren. Love you guys.

So sorry Perry and Family, Mary was one heck of a good person. When in grade school she was my protector, no one picked on me cause I walked home with Mary and she could take care of them! Had some real good times in high school also, Mary will be missed by all that knew her she was 1 OF A KIND. Deb Shaffer
